What We Do

Educate Norfolk represents and supports school leadership and leadership development across all state funded schools in Norfolk. As an association we seek to represent the views of Norfolk school leaders, enabling strategic decisions to be taken to the greatest benefit of the young people in Norfolk.

We represent headteachers, CEOs and more widely 'education' on a number of boards and committees across Norfolk. A complete list of these and the representatives on these boards can be found on the where we represent you page . If you would like something raised or would like to find out more about a meeting and the discussions which take place please do speak to the headteacher representative or admin for that meeting. Where possible we seek your views in advance of these meetings. This may be at the leadership updates, using email or through our polls via the app.

For 2020-2021 our current focusses are:

  • Information provision - timely, correct, upto date and comprehensive.
  • Tools to deal with COVID - Risk assessments, approved template documents and so on.
  • Wellbeing support for the whole school community
  • TBC as year progresses or a need identify's itself.

Our key focusses for the academic year of 2019-2020 were:

  • School funding
  • Headteacher induction
  • Leadership development
  • Wellbeing
  • Partial closures of schools due to COVID
  • Planning for full opening of schools in Sept 2020
