Ofsted

From 1st September 2019, Ofsted has put in place a new framework, which inspectors will be using in their work of inspecting early years settings, schools, FE and skills providers and independent schools. The education inspection framework will replace the common inspection framework – so please find below updated handbooks, links and information.

There are also new guides for school leaders on what to expect from an inspection, and how best to prepare. For all information on Ofsted please visit their website Ofsted.gov.uk

The school inspection handbook explains how Ofsted carry out inspections and the judgements that inspectors make under section 5 inspections. It contains the grade descriptors that inspectors use when making their judgements.

Secondary leaders have the opportunity to attend a meeting in the second half of each term in 2019-2020, this meeting is held at;

Wensum Valley Hotel, Golf and Country Club, Beech Avenue, Taverham, Norwich, NR8 6HP.

This meeting is 8:15am-11am (with refreshments) - 4th March 2020

Primary leaders also have the opportunity to attend a meeting in the second half of each term in 2019-2020. Due to the number of primary leaders, we currently offer this in 4 different locations; 

Central - Wensum Valley Hotel, Golf and Country Club, Beech Avenue, Taverham, Norwich, NR8 6HP - 26th February 2020

North - Holt Hall, Kelling Road, Holt, NR25 6RT  - 28th February 2020

East - Great Yarmouth Racecourse, Jellicoe Rd, Great Yarmouth, NR30 4AU - 6th March 2020

West - The Dukes Head Hotel, 5-6 Tuesday Market Place, King's Lynn, PE30 1JS - 10th March 2020
