We proudly represent leaders in all Norfolk’s schools, working closely with a variety of parties to ensure the leaders of Norfolk schools have everything they need to effectively and successful run their schools, ensuring fantastic education for all our young people.

Our purpose

  • To provide peer support
  • To improve the wellbeing of Norfolk leaders
  • To identify and address the most poignant issues impacting on Norfolk’s leaders and their schools
  • To encourage and support system generosity for the betterment of all Norfolk schools
  • To act as Norfolk’s voice in the wider education landscape
  • To work with and be a conduit of information to and from local and national organisations including the DfE, local MPs and the LA, furthering Norfolk causes on a national stage
  • Facilitate and support effective induction for Headteachers

Highlights of our membership include:

  • Preferential rates for training, workshops and events, including our annual conference
  • A 3 termly face to face leadership updates
  • Several twilight headteacher briefings a term, frequency to be dictated by need.
  • Access to well-being opportunities and guidance

  • HSP: a redesigned and redeveloped Headteacher Support Programme that offers key CPD for primary leaders to experience a range of different environments and learn from our hosts. (Autumn 2021, launch delayed due to COVID)

A key aspect of our role is to listen to your concerns, queries and difficulties, raising them with key people at appropriate meetings to ensure they are addressed, improved, and if possible, resolved, feeding back to you on our actions and outcomes. Much of this is achieved through representation undertaken on your behalf by our committee members on boards including Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership Board, Norfolk SEND transformation work and meetings with individuals such as MPs, the RSC and Ofsted.
