Educate Norfolk

Welcome to Educate Norfolk, the Headteachers’ association for all Norfolk primary and secondary schools. We are an inclusive association and every Headteacher is automatically a member. Headteachers are then able to choose to buy into Tier 2 membership offering a wider range of benefits.

Each year we tackle some of the most poignant issues impacting on Headteachers and their schools. For 2017-2018 two of the biggest things we focused on were information provision and school funding. For 2018-2019 we continue to focus on information provision, school funding difficulties and SEND. For 2019-2020 we will continue to fight for effective school funding, working with NCC on the SEND transformation and on top of this we are developing new CPD opportunities for Senior Leaders and cross boarder links to improve opportunities for both Norfolk educators and our young people.

To address information provision we have significantly improved, our website and newsletter and brought online our new app. We also brokered a three-year deal with The Key for School Leaders which entitles Tier 2 members free or reduce cost access.

Working with the LA we helped to shape the cluster funding reform in Norfolk and we were instrumental in helping to secure the additional £3million of funding that was allocated. Working with our local MP’s, the Worthless? Campaign and others we also ensured everyone was aware of the financially difficulties Norfolk schools were facing, the work these groups did led to the funding announcement of 3rd September.

We continue to bring topical speakers to our leadership updates and annual conferences and welcome your suggestions and requests for speakers or topics covered.
